I recently watched the film Babel. It is a film about 4 different cultures trying to survive their lifes hardships. At first it seems as if the familys have nothing to do with eachother and then you find out that they are all connected through one symbol. I think this symbol really portrays the theme that you should not trust others around you. If you cant trust them then stay away. I thought this was a strong theme because almost all of the familys in the film struggle with trust. They dont really know who to turn to for help. This movie also had alot of great footage. It took place in 4 different countreys, Japan, Morocco, Mekico, and U.S. Everytime the story changed you really got a feel for the way the people lived and how all the cultures were so different. The camera always got you right into the action which left you on the edge of your seat. If you want to know what i mean by intense check out the trailor

I really encourage you to see this film. I think that both genders would really enjoy it and its really interesting. If you do watch it, my favorite part was when Brad Pitt(main character) was in the hut with his wife Kate Blanchett(main character). You could tell that they realy loved eachother and that he was going to do what ever it took to save her. She got shot in morocco by the way and they are in the middle of no where. I cant even imagine what i would do if i were faced with that situation. All i can say is watch it. Its clearly a great film too because it was on the 100 greatest films list!
